CNN reports frugal tips and tricks from
Jeff Yeager’s “Ultimate Cheapskate’s Roadmap to True Riches”. Yeager highlights ways to save on both groceries and laundry.
We all know brown bagging our lunch is cheaper than going to a restaurant. But, what do you put in your lunch bag? Try substituting home cooked meats for expensive deli cuts. Roast a turkey and slice it yourself, saving valuable funds in the process. Also, check out the international food aisle. Yeager says many staples, such as rice and beans, are much less expensive there.
Many of us can cut back on our laundry expenses as well. Yeager advises hanging clothes on a clothesline instead of using a dryer. It saves utilities and clothes last longer. Using cold water is also less expensive and preserves clothing.
However, there are times when no amount of budgeting can solve your financial issues. Perhaps you have been hit by catastrophe and are trying to pick up the pieces. If bankruptcy seems like the way out, call the professionals. The law firm of
Jeff Davis is on your side.
