Ageism is an increasing problem in our society. Sometimes discrimination on the basis of age is subtle. In other instances, ageism is the result of unfair company policies.

Reuters reports the U.S. is suing Dallas-based AT&T. According to the
Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, there is “no legitimate business reason” for AT&T to refuse to rehire AT&T employees who have retired under various benefit programs. All of the retirees are over the age of forty. This policy negatively impacts tens of thousands of people.
