I wanted to take a moment to pause and reflect on the loss this weekend of President George H.W. Bush.
President Bush was not only one of our great Presidents, he was also a great man. I had the privilege of working on his presidential campaign in 1988, and had the opportunity to meet the future president at Air Force 2 (he was Vice President at the time.) This photo was taken during a campaign stop in Raleigh, NC on March 5, 1988.
He was a gentleman and a true statesman, and I along with all my fellow Americans will sorely miss him.
