Going back to school after summer vacation can bring both anxiety and excitement. Many students carefully select their new backpacks, clothes and supplies. But, one thing that should never be in short supply is student safety. All of us need to feel safe in order to learn and reach our potential.

One of the biggest threats may be negligent drivers. The  Texas Department of Transportation Texas Department of Transportation advises drivers of the following:

1) Always stop when you see the flashing red lights on a school bus, regardless of which direction your headed.

2) Continue once the bus has moved, the lights have stopped flashing or the driver motions that you can proceed,

3) Breaking these laws will result in a fine of $1,000

If you or someone you love have been involved in a bus or pedestrian accident, do not be victimized yet again. Know your rights. Call
