Veteran’s Day Volunteer Event
Feeding America is a nationwide network of food banks and food pantries that help tackle food insecurity and narrow the food gap. The network distributes food and resources to children, families, senior citizens, and all individuals in need. The City of San Antonio is fortunate enough to have its own local food bank.
The San Antonio Food Bank is one of the largest service areas in Southwest Texas, serving 58,000 individuals a week. 1 in 5 households includes a family member who is a current or former military member. On Veteran’s Day 2017 our Davis Law Firm team members, friends and family volunteered at the San Antonio Food Bank to assist in the ongoing effort to relieve food hunger. Our group of volunteers sorted through 10,219 pounds of food, enough to provide 8,334 meals for communities in need. We would like to give a special thanks to all those who volunteered with us! Davis Law Firm commits its time and service at the San Antonio Food Bank at least once a quarter. We encourage you to take a stand against hunger with us and give back.
