Ricardo Reyna is the Davis Law Firm Head of Litigation, has more than 34 years of legal experience, and has been with the firm since 2018. He was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. He has tried and handled cases in Texas, New Mexico, Arkansas, Colorado, Arizona, Nevada, and Illinois. He has a number of certifications that make him among the most accomplished trial lawyers in Texas. He has tried 144 cases to jury verdict as lead trial counsel. This includes 27 cases where the amount sought from the jury was over $5,000,000. He has won 23 of these 27 trials. In one of those cases, Rick was lead trial counsel for the plaintiffs in a six month jury trial that resulted in a $699,000,000 verdict for the plaintiffs.
Rick is a Diplomate of the American Board of Trial Advocates (an invitation only organization that is based on trial skill and experience and is a certification held by only 35 of the 100,000 attorneys in Texas).
He is a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America Order of Centurions (an invitation only organization that is limited to trial lawyers who have successfully tried more than 100 cases to jury verdict and is a certification held by only 16 of the 100,000 attorneys in Texas).
He is also Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization (a certification held by less than 10% of practicing attorneys in Texas)
Rick has been married for 25 years to his wife, Rachel, and they have two sons. He and his wife are strong supporters of Boysville, The Children’s Bereavement Center, Roy Maas Youth Alternatives, and Saint Mary’s Hall. He coached baseball for 10 years and was a Scoutmaster for the Boy Scouts of America for 14 years. His hobbies include hunting, fishing, adventure travel, photography, and mountain biking. He has traveled to all 50 states and to each of the world’s seven continents, including exploring North America, touring Europe, going on safari to Africa, hiking the mountains and jungles of South America, trekking through Asia, wandering about in Australia, and joining an expedition to Antarctica.
