Why We're Here 4 You
Our founder, Jeff Davis was born in 1966 in San Antonio, Texas. His family has been in South Texas since the 1800’s. Like his father and aunt, he graduated from Alamo Heights High School in 1984. He then completed his undergraduate work at UT Austin.
His desire to live in San Antonio resulted in his study of law at Saint Mary’s Law School. He served as personal aide to retired Congressman Lamar Smith during his initial run for Congress in 1986. He also worked for the Honorable State Senator Cindy Krier and he proudly served in the Presidential Campaign of President Herbert Walker Bush while President Bush was Vice President of the United States. It was during this time that he had the pleasure of meeting Senator Dole, President Ford and other notable individuals who have served our country.
After law school, Jeff was accepted into the prestigious US Department of Justice Honors Program, where he worked for almost 3 years. Still, Jeff always knew that he wanted to return to family, friends and community in the city that raised him. Upon his return, Jeff worked at Thornton, Summers, Biechlin, Dunham & Brown, a respected San Antonio defense firm . He then partnered with Jim Osherow, an established bankruptcy attorney, to form Osherow & Davis, PC.
In 1996, Jeff started Davis Law Firm, which has grown throughout South Texas. Jeff founded our practice to give a voice to those who are injured. Over time, Jeff’s commitment to the city and state that raised and nurtured him led him to serve and support such local philanthropies and organizations such as: The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Mother’s Against Drunk Drivers, The San Antonio Food Bank, Jewish family and Children’s Service, Boysville, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Guardian House, and The Public Theatre of San Antonio.
Jeff has always loved San Antonio. He has always been a Spurs fan and attended Spurs games from a young age. His loyalty to his hometown and his hometown team is not only evident in the many Spurs memorabilia items that hang throughout the walls of Davis Law Firm, but in his past and ongoing commitment to the San Antonio Community. Davis Law Firm is the Official Personal Injury Attorney sponsor of the San Antonio Spurs.
Since the start of COVID-19 pandemic, Davis Law Firm has supported the San Antonio and Corpus Christi Food Banks with donations, provided cloth masks to the San Antonio Food Bank and San Antonio Zoo and more recently donated to Christy’s Hope, an organization that supports battered women and their children.
