Prior to joining the firm, Scott had a very successful career of more than twenty years in Construction Management in Southwest Florida. Born and raised in Western Massachusetts, he began working in construction straight out of high school. Scott moved to Southwest Florida in his early twenties and quickly rose through the ranks of his profession until becoming a Licensed Certified General Contractor. By the time he was in his early thirties, Scott was responsible for overseeing the construction of multi-million-dollar golf course communities from inception to completion. Commanding a multitude of independent contractors and employees, he learned the value of organization and perseverance. Scott now parlays that experience into the practice of law by priding himself on being more knowledgeable, better prepared, and more willing to go the distance than the opposition. Like building a house, he believes that building a case starts with a strong foundation. For Scott, that foundation is his client. Through open, straightforward communication, Scott educates and informs his clients about every single phase of the litigation process so they can actively participate in the process.
Outside of work, Scott enjoys the splendors of the Texas Hill Country. From kayaking to mountain biking, it is not uncommon to find him roaming the wilderness in one way or the other. If not in the woods, Scott can usually be found seeking adventures with his wife and family as they travel the country and abroad to explore new peoples and new cultures. When at home, they find comfort with their two rescue dogs and enjoy working on projects around the house. They take the utmost pride in their children, now grown and forging their own paths in life. Their daughter is actively pursuing a career in the field of veterinary medicine and their son, with dual degrees in engineering and data science, works in a research lab for a local University.
