Martin B. Martinez

Prior to his personal injury practice, Mr. Martinez practiced Immigration Law in Houston, Texas, where he received widespread praise from clients for his successful representation in Federal Immigration Court (EOIR) and before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). Across both practice areas, Mr. Martinez has built a reputation for diligence, integrity, and achieving meaningful results for those he represents.

Born in Weslaco, Texas (El Valle), Mr. Martinez is the son of Mexican immigrants and is fluent in both Spanish and English. He was raised in the small town of Itasca, Texas, where he graduated in the top 10% of his class. Mr. Martinez earned a Bachelor of Arts in Government and Philosophy with High Honors from the University of Texas at Austin, becoming the first in his extended family to graduate from a university. While at UT, he was a traveling member of the UT Forensics Cross-Examination Debate Team, representing the University at National Collegiate Debate Tournaments.

Mr. Martinez earned his Juris Doctorate from Washington University School of Law in St. Louis, Missouri. During law school, he received the CALI Award for Excellence in Negotiation and Mediation, recognizing the highest performance in that discipline. He was also a traveling member of the Negotiation & Mediation Team and received multiple honors for his achievements in Pretrial Practice & Settlement, Legal Writing & Analysis for Litigators, Complex Civil Litigation, Trial Practice, and Advanced Trial Advocacy. As a senior member of the Trial Team, Mr. Martinez had the privilege of representing Washington University Law at National Trial Competitions against other top law schools across the country.
