Biography

Fred Torres is a Personal Injury Attorney with fourteen years of experience and has been with Davis Law Firm since 2022. He was born and raised on the island of Puerto Rico and finished his high school studies in the state of Florida where he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps Reserves at the age of 18. While he was attending the University of Florida, his unit was activated to support Operations Desert Shield in 1990 and Desert Storm in 1991. Fred was a decorated Sergeant when he received his honorable discharge in 1996. After returning from the war, he studied at the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico and began a career as a Graphic Designer and Computer Animation artist, eventually landing a job at the then tech giant Compaq Computer corporation in Houston, Texas.

Fred’s desire to have a career in a field where he could help fight for those who could not against all kinds of civil wrongs, eventually led him to the Pontifical Catholic University’s School of Law in Puerto Rico where he was a member of the Law Review and graduated Cum Laude in 2007.

Fred became an accomplished bilingual attorney in diverse areas of the law including litigation and pre-litigation in personal injury, worker compensation, medical malpractice, intellectual property, entertainment law, family law, and bankruptcy law for creditors. He has settled hundreds of settlements for plaintiffs in Texas Personal Injury cases and enjoys working with people and helping clients in their times of need. He is an outstanding legal strategist and skilled negotiator with experience allowing for zealous representation of clients through complex legal matters. Fred is a proven leader, problem solver, and mentor with excellent management skills.
